Fillings and Bonding

White fillings or composite resin fillings are tooth-coloured materials used to repair cavities or fix damaged teeth. These do not contain mercury, making them a healthier alternative to amalgam fillings. They also look a lot nicer!

Bonding can be used to improve the shape, size, and esthetics of the teeth while being more conservative and less of a financial investment.

Dental Fillings are restorative materials used to repair teeth that have been damaged by cavities, decay, or minor fractures. When a tooth develops a cavity, the decayed portion is removed, and the space is filled with a material to restore the tooth's function and integrity.

Dental bonding is a cosmetic dental procedure that involves applying a tooth-colored resin material to a tooth to improve its appearance or repair damage.

Dental bonding is commonly used for the following purposes:

Repairing chipped or cracked teeth: Bonding can restore the tooth's shape and function.

Improving tooth color: The resin can cover discolored teeth and enhance the smile's appearance.

Closing gaps: Bonding can fill in small gaps between teeth, improving your smile

Reshaping teeth: Bonding can alter the shape or length of teeth for a more uniform appearance.

Protecting exposed roots: In cases of receding gums, bonding can cover exposed roots and protect them from sensitivity.

Dental bonding is a quick and cost-effective way to enhance the appearance of teeth and is often completed in one visit. However, the bonded material may be less durable than other restorative options, and it may need periodic touch-ups or replacements over time.
