Born in Ottawa and graduated in 2014 from Western Ontario, Dr. Sidon enjoys all aspects of dentistry but especially restoring smiles with dental implants, prosthetics, esthetic treatments , and helping you prevent dental problems from developing.

Evergreen Dentistry

Choosing Local, Digital, and In-House

We work with local businesses and dental laboratories whenever possible.

For instance, our beautiful Moss Wall was made with real moss, sustainably harvested, preserved naturally, and all done by a local Ottawa business.

We use our scanner for taking accurate impressions to send cases digitally (encrypted). Any X-ray units and sensors are fully digital and use less radiation.

Our patient records are completely paperless.

We have laundry in-house to reduce wasting disposables gowns or other supplies.

Water and Energy Conservation

Did you know that many dental offices use a "Wet Vacuum" system that uses the equivalent of two swimming pools' worth of water every month? We invested in a "Dry Vacuum" that uses virtually no water. We also have invested in energy-saving options whenever possible to reduce our environmental impact.

We have insulated and sealed our building while also investing in an efficient commercial HVAC system for heating and cooling. All the lighting is energy efficient.

Any metallic waste materials are filtered and separated before leaving our premises so they don't contaminate the environment. We are completely amalgam-free (no silver fillings).

Biodegradable, Reusable, or Recycling Options

Have you seen our reusable bibs? They're designed by a dentist in Gatineau and are hygienic and eco-friendly! Our sterilization consumables are made sustainably with natural products. Our gloves (and more) are completely biodegradable.  

We are committed to recycling as much as possible.

  • What should I expect on my first visit to Evergreen?

    Our newly built office is clean, warm, and inviting. Here's what you can expect when you visit:

    A Warm Welcome and Tour

    Our friendly staff will welcome and make you feel at home and show you around so you can get comfortable with our space.

    Getting to Know You

    Before your appointment, we will provide you with forms to help us get to know you and your dental needs. We'll discuss your dental goals and any concerns you might have.

    Hygiene and/or your Dental Exam

    Our dentist will do a thorough examination of your teeth, gums, and mouth OR focus on helping with your emergency. We also perform oral cancer screenings with all examinations. We wish to meet your goals and help you achieve and maintain a healthy smile.

    If needed, we’ll take low-dose digital X-rays to get a better look at your oral health or can help you arrange to have previous records or x-rays sent to us. We may also discuss taking digital models of your teeth with a scanner.

    We will discuss treatment options with you and communicate our findings. We can provide estimates and send pre-determinations to your dental insurance to help you understand what you can expect your provider to contribute towards your care.

    Hygiene: If you're due for hygiene, a professional will clean and polish your teeth, guide you on keeping your mouth healthy on a daily basis, and provide tips suitable to your needs or interests.

    Check-out and Insurance Processing

    Our staff will answer any questions you may have regarding insurance, flexible financing plans, and your next visits.

  • How does it work with insurance?

    We can provide estimates and send pre-determinations to your insurance provider. They respond to you and let you know exactly what they expect to contribute towards your care. This typically happens in advance of any treatment so there are no surprises to you. Our staff are happy to review your paperwork so you can understand exactly what to expect.


    After the treatment is provided, we file the claims immediately to your insurance provider on your behalf. Your insurance provider will generally pay you very quickly (within a few days). We do require payment for all treatment in-office unless prior arrangements have been made or discussed.


    If you have any questions about your insurance coverage or our policies, our friendly and knowledgeable staff are available to help.

  • Do you offer emergency dental services?

    Yes! We reserve time daily for emergencies.

  • I want to transfer to your office. What do I do?

    We are accepting new patients and look forward to meeting you!

    You can call the office directly at 613-695-2663 or visit 'Contact Us' at the top of the page. We can communicate with your previous office on your behalf (once you fill out a Release Form) and have relevant records, such as recent x-rays, sent to us.

     

  • Do you treat children? And when should I bring my child to the dentist?

    Yes! We are proud to treat patients of all ages.

    The Canadian Dental Association recommends that children have their first dental visit by their first birthday, or within six months after their first tooth erupts, whichever comes first. This early visit allows the dentist to monitor your child's oral health, provide guidance on proper dental care, and address any concerns you may have about teething or oral hygiene. Establishing a dental home early on helps ensure a lifetime of healthy smiles!

  • Do you have a cancellation policy?

    We understand that unexpected circumstances may arise that prevent you from keeping your scheduled appointment. If you will be late or may need to cancel, please communicate with our office as soon as possible so we can accommodate other patients who might need urgent care or to ensure that all patients have their reserved appointment time respected.

    Our cancellation policy requires patients provide at least 2 business days' notice if they need to cancel or reschedule an appointment.

    If a patient fails to provide appropriate notice or fails to show up for a scheduled appointment, a fee will be charged.

    In the spirit of mutual courtesy, we kindly ask that all patients provide as much notice as possible so that we can continue to provide quality care to all our patients.

  • What methods of payment do you accept?

    Most patients pay via e-transfer, Visa, Mastercard, Debit, or Cash. If you need other arrangements, please speak with our staff for help.

    If paying via e-transfer: accounts@evergreendentalcare.ca. Please include the patient name.

  • I'm nervous about coming to the dentist and have a dental phobia. Can you help?

    If you experience dental anxiety, you're not alone. We have a variety of options to help. We offer various comfort options, including IV sedation dentistry or laughing gas, to help make your visit more relaxed and pleasant during your visits. We have an entire comfort menu of options to make your visit as pleasant as possible.

    Many patients feel nervous at the dentist. Our mission is to make your visits to the dentist enjoyable for you.
